I have a Rapido comfortmatic and we just bought a Harrison awning for her. We bought the 725cm size (we measured her first), and it fits like a dream. The company we bought the awning from was Davan Caravans Ltd, St Georges, Weston-super-Mare BS22 7XA. Tel 07934 510606 and ask for Jamie Cole.
If you just want to try an awning, you can have my old one free of charge. It needs waterproofing, but other than that it is in good condition. I can send you a picture if you want one. My email is jah0504 at hotmail.co.uk
People will tell you you cannot buy a 'normal' awning, but you can!
When are you buying your caravan? Any pics of her?
Hope this helps

I have a confortmatic and am looking for a replacement awning, i have just come across your message to Shania from july 2007 have you got a pic of the Harrison awning you could send me.
Hi there are 2 on ebay for sale HERE & HERE I used an 11ft NR Pullman awning on mine & modifies the rails to suit although I found it a bit of a nightmare to put up so now I've got a Raclet awning which has been properly modified to suit a rapido rail.
So, as I understand most 11 and 12 ft awnings could be suitable for Rapido Confort?
One more question:
Can anyone explain what does it means - "awning size 725-750 cm, or awning length 725-750 cm", which dimension is it?
For example is it possible this one adapt to Rapido ?
You should be able to get it modified ok the middle section has to have a overlapped piece for the awning rail. There is an old thread on here somewhere that I've read on what needs to be done to have them altered. I altered the rails on mine but setting up the awning was a very fiddley process so I'm glad I've aquired an awning that's already ben modified to fit. I still may have my other one looked at too so I can have to fitted onto the other side of my unit should I need to. I think the length or size you have quoted should be what it should measure from the floor up & round the awning rail & the floor the other side although don't quote me on that.

I agree with _tich_- in most ebay adverts so-called "awning size" ptrobably is the dimension shown in photo (marked with red line). Finaly - if measurements in photo are similar to measurements of awning which I want to buy, high possibility, that it will be suitable for Rapido Confort...Am I right?
To adapt any 12ft awning to fit any model of rapido folders you need to purchase a length of awning tape approx 6ft 6in long.
You need to cut the old awning tape 6in past the centre position so that you have an overlap tape.
You then cut your new tape so that also overlaps by 6in in the centre you then sew this tape in place so that is approx half to three quarters of an inch below or above the original tape
this then allows you to fit the awning to either side of the rapdio
If you still have the old awning why not use it as a pattern ie remove the awning tape from it and fit it to the new awning
hope this helps
