Is there nany one out there who has toured the ring before we are thinking of touring with two two man tens over six nights and seven days we will be leaving the car at Kenmare so will need to start and finish there
We were there in June this year, in the hope of avoiding the worst of the tourists. It was lovely, but we failed to avoid the tourists! Apparently they are there all year round in busloads (something like 80 coaches circumnavigate the Ring every day), but if you keep away from Killarney you can find some peace.
We went on from there up to County Mayo, which we much preferred as we were within a shortish distance of Connemara, which is simply wonderful.
Wherever you end up you will really enjoy it as the people are delightful.
DON'T keep away from Killarney!! We were there in June and stayed on a great campsite....mind it was a bit expensive, but very quiet. It was Fleming's White Bridge Caravan and Camping Park...it has everything! Killarney is a bit touristy but there's plenty to see.
