If you are really really set on this particular one could you not agree an overdraft for that amount with your bank, the interest would be extremely small on that amount, and you could pay it back with what you would be putting away for the camper each week/month.
failing that i'm sure there's schemes for loan's with people on low incomes and the rates are great to,not like those bloody bank's
IT'S CALLED A SOCIAL FUND LOAN,thought i knew it try for one of these they should help and the rates are good to,my OH sisters and mother always get them.

Hi Katie ,if it helps at all ,I have a Raclet Jade for sale, not a folding camper but a trailer tent.I want £300 for it.It's a nice trailer tent ,not perfect but good for the money.
Let me know if you are interested ?Oh dear I see your in Yorkshire, another thread on here entitled Raclet Herald, sees ,someone else wanting a trailer tent like mine but too far a way.Think you are even further away, never mind.
If anyone else is looking?
Ebay is a good place ,mines not on there though but is in free ads on this site.
Hi Katie, I know how you feel. At least you have got a start towrds the camper. We had a pennine pathfinder, we bought it new in 2005, we loved it. However due to unfortunate circumstances we had to sell it We have gone back to ordinary tents (until I have enough saved for a decent 2nd hand folding camper)..
So I know exactly what you are going through, keep saving and something will turn up. I am sure we will get something sorted ourselves, but at least we have food, and a roof over our heads so not complaining too much
The ads were on the adtrader website, just put adtrader into google and it will bring them up, these were from the North East edition but I put a nationwide search on the form
notice from your earlier post above you already appear to have a box trailer for your camping gear - you'll stop using the box trailer when u upgrade. We did when we upgraded and ours stood unused for years and was eventually stolen. So why not get a look at the camper of your dreams, haggle a bit, get the seller to hold it on a deposit and sell your box trailer to raise the shortfall? They seem to go for round about the £100 mark in the free papers where we live.
The £150 fiesta could be worth a look even though its damaged as i see your o/h is handy.Obvoiusly if its too damaged walk away. A few tips when buying: watch out for mildew - tits all too easy to be not bothered to unfold to at home dry out if they've been packed up damp when leaving a site its not impossible but its a nightmare to clean out . Also if the walls (body) of the trailer are soft it means the water's got into the foam sandwich body and there's not really any cure. Usually gets into pennines around teh door frame cos the hinges on the earlier ones were mounted on the body not the door frame later models went over to frame mounted hinges Be cautious about american campers - they are much heavier than UK models have hydraulic brakes and can be impossible to get spares for. If the canvas is torn don't worry too much there are plenty of awning repair businesses about who'll sharp fix it for you if you take the canvas off the body. Pennine also do a good direct spares service too if you phone the number on thier website and as the fiestas still a current model should be able to accomodate most bits.
art b we would love a dandy to save drying out but I do believe you can't get under bed tents for them (tell me if i am wrong) we want to ge a 4 birth so trailer not too big and put 2 of the kids in under beds and the other 2 in with us.
I thought of selling the trailer but hubby wants to keep it for his fishing stuff!!!! think I need a change of hubby
I've been looking for a Pullman for ages, driving my wife mad EVERY night by spending hours, espec on Ebay,a dn what I've found is that this time of year, lots of people decide to sell camping stuff rather than storing it over the winter.
I bet if you looked on Ebay in a month, there would be other smiliar items.
So set a target - have a specific camper fund. Do you smoke or drink for example? Cut down on either bu PUT THAT MONEY in your fund. I reckon in a couple of months you could get up to the level you think you need.
PS: It's not a Fiesta, but I have a TRANSCAMPER - very similar idea in that it can purt up without pegging. Selling soon so send me a PM if intersted!
Dont get your hopes up but I may have found you a Pennine Astec which you could afford. Email me on drobson at ses-ltd.co.uk with your phone number (by 3.00 today as I leave early on a Friday of ring me on 07865 365777.
Not seen it, know its an older model, have electrics, water and an awning (awning needs zip)
Chance of fate I found out about it in a taxi last night !
The other alternative is if they will let you pay them over several months. We did this with one of my work colleagues. She bought OH's car but didn't have the money in one go so we drew up an agreement and for several months she paid off the balance.
I am the kind of person who thinks along the lines of "if it's meant to be it will be" which in your situation means that if you get this one that you want it was meant to be and if you don't then it was not meant to be and that the next one will be even more suited for you.
Does that make sense? Have you ever been in a situation where you haven't got what you wanted but got something else that really was better? When i was job hunting after my youngest started school i went for a couple of jobs that i really did like the look of but i didn't get them. I finally had to give in and apply to Tesco's and got the job and ended up in a lovely job working with really friendly happy people. I really enjoy working there and realise that i am actually happier there than if i had got any of the other jobs i really did want at the time.
So for me "it was meant to be".
We have a 1997 Contiki TT which has a couple of rips in the canvas. We took it off to be repaired but were told it was not worth replacing panals as that would weaken the older canvas. We can buy a whole new canvas for £750.00 but can't afford to buy one just yet, so dh has sewn a new patch onto the canvs which we hope will do us until we have saved up for the new canvas. I suppose it is the same for you but no saving will done for the canvas now until the new year. My youngest has just had her 6th Birthday, my son will soon be 9 and with a couple of other family birthdays leading up to Xmas and then Xmas all our money will go on that. And we will be going away as often as we can at weekends next year and plan a 2 week holiday next year (we've never been able to go away for 2 weeks because we have never, and never considered before now, camped before. We can probably camp for 2 weeks for less than we would normally pay for a weeks holiday. So it will take a while to save up for the new canvas but at least we will have some wonderful camping trips to look forwards to!
Another old adage for you...
"All good things come to those who wait"
So just keep saving and you will get what your heart desires.
