Is anyone out there able to tell me where i could get a replacement extending pole for my pullman camper. It is one side of the extending frame which supports the canvas which has become bent. I imagine that it would come in a "U" shape and could be bolted to the camper body using the existing bolts, which also allow the frame to collapse when the camper is folded up.

On the pathfinder and hopefully the same on yours this is the system. There are two short poles which bolt to the body one each side. Into this slots the u shape pole which extend. You can take the U shape bit off by pressing the buttons in and I would imagine you could then either straighten it yourself or take it to a blacksmiths who would do it for you.

straightening a pole perfect will be quite difficult the only way i can see it being done as long as its not to bent is to heat up the area with a blow torch and then insert a small tube into the bent one and push it through hoping that the bent pole would then straighten up or get a fabrication company to make you one.

Dont recken the pole will straighten. I was hoping that pennine might do spares but I could not see anything like this on their website.  Thanks to Jan P & our_mums_r_mad for your comments.

Hi thankyou everyone for your replies. Jackie as for a a good but quiet campsite near to Brook, I have to admit that I have only stayed at 3 sites on the island. Go to camp site search and read reviews for the following sites,

THE ORCHARDS- stayed there once, nice site in Newbridge, Fairly quiet very clean, indoor swimming pool, games room and TV room. And aprox 4 miles from Brook.

GRANGE FARM, Brighstone Bay- small working farm on the cliff top at Brighstone,  nice and quiet, however when the wind is blowing it can be very cold. Also there is no protection for tents when wind blows off the sea. But in warm settled weather this site is really nice. Aprox 4 miles.

Dont know how far away from Brook you want to stay but my favourite site on the island is Appuldurcombe Gardens. about 12 miles away. It sits in the shadow of the ruins Appuldurcombe House is steeped in History and has been featured on the programme Most Haunted.

Hope you enjoy your stay on the island.  Dont know weather you are using tent, FC or trailer tent but if you are travelling with red funnel and you are towing a FC, dont book it in as medium or large trailer but as a caravan, for some reason you can get a cheaper price as a caravan on line.
