Havent posted on here for a while, but we are finally ready to buy a 2nd hand TT, last year we was looking at both the above models. But just would like some advice on either or any other models you would recommend?
Hi, I've just agreed to px my Trigano Chantilly at Barrons (now "Discover" )Coppull, Lancs (so, not much use for you,IndieAce!). It goes on Friday. I doubt they'll market it for much more than the trade in allowance and if so someone will get a very nice deal, because it's in very good condition. I know I ought to have sold it privately, but at the mo I just don't have the time / inclination to keep setting it up for photos / viewings.
Anyway, my advice for you, would be just to do as much looking around as you can, and definately don't buy anything without seeing it fully set up. Looking around dealers is useful because you get familiar with the various makes & models available, and in some cases their use stock can be at reasonable prices. I know I'm not alone in trading-in at this time of year, so there will be many units around.
Hiya, we bought a conway classic trio 2 years ago and ITS FAB!!, its got so much room. We have been on several short and long trips with it. We are a family of mum, dad, two girls and one westie. We took it to France last summer and had another family spend the evening in our tent playing cards because we had more room in our tent than in their chalet!
I must admit they do take a good couple of hours to erect and I would advise it to be two adults to put the trailer tent up, but once up they are great. We are very pleased with our purchase.
Check any trailer tent you intend to purchase carefully. Check for signs of damp, any bent poles, the mattresses are in good order, the cooker works, the zips are not broken. Really take your time looking at the tent erected if you are buying second hand, as we did. We have been lucky, the trailer tent was in A1 condition, but we admitted to ourselves we didn't check it thoroughly as we pleased to have found one in our price bracket.
