hello everyone we have a problem with our water take-up tube, its plastic, parts of it has gone green on the inside, does anyone know if we can take the tube off to clean it, or is there any other way we can clean it, it is the tube that is connected to the tap which goes into the water container in our combi venezia

Hi Kelling,

You can get some powder called Puriclean, which you dissolve in water in your tank and pump through the pipe and tap. This should get rid of the algae in the pipe. If not, it's simple and cheap to replace the pipe. A caravan supplies place will sell you a metre or so of pipe and you can secure it to your pump and tap with jubilee clips. I did this when I bought my second hand CC Panda.

I took  my water carrier out of my combi today, and discovered I hadn't emptied it at the end of the season back in September.  So I've removed the tube, and that and the carrier are soaking in baby bottle steriliser fluid (Morrisons Own Brand of Miltons!)
