Think you will find it refers to a Sown In Groundsheet ie one that is complete with the tent outer rather than one you put down aftter.

something to do with 12v/240v electrics i think. I recon its best not to worry about stuff you do not understand - there is plenty to worry about with the stuff you know about !!

Oh dear, 3 posts at the same time with conflicting info.

Bill & Jan are correct  - a SIG is a sewn in groundsheet, nothing at all to do with electrics!

I think Doit is getting confused with a Zig unit in a caravan.

HI SIG MEANS A SOWN IN GROUNDSHEET WEVE JUST BOUGHT A NEW RACLET SAFARI TT AND IT COMES WITH A SIG,I HAVE BEEN TOLD BUT IM NOT SURE BUT SOME CAMPSITES WONT ALLOW SIGS THEY PREFER THE BREATHABLE GROUND SHEETS TO LET THE AIR GET TO THE GROUND.
