Well we have taken the plunge and brought a secondhand folding camper, I haven't been camping since i was a lad and have such great memories that i decided pehaps a little spontaneously to buy one so my children (5 and 2) and my wife can enjoy the great out doors. Only problem is im clueless, first of all can anyone tell me how i can check the age of my camper? does anyone know do these things normally come with a manual and can i get one from anywhere?
Pennine have a serial number the last two digits of which is the year of manufacture.
I don't think they made the 415 till 2001 or 2002 but trigano aren't my strong point. Welcome to the site. From what I have seen they work in much the same way as Pennine and conway so we nay be able to help if you get stuck. I would expect a manual.
------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
ours is the 415 & the plate relates to the year, think its the last 2 digits. as for the manual we bought ours new & it came with trailer tent instuctions. it is easy to put up though. the awning takes a little longer
Steve and Mandy, I've just popped out to check the plate and it looks like my unit is a 1939 model! I can't rearrange the numbers to make a sensible date code.
rob&tina ours finishes in 004. we bought ours in march 2004 so was thinking this was the year made. more than poss made at least the year before. did they do f.cs in 1939 ?
Looks like I was sold a much older fc than I thought. If it is 65 years older than I was told it has certainly lasted well and still has the original canvas. You could have bought a decent house in 1939 for what I paid for the camper, in fact you could have bought half of Gloucestershire.
The only date stamp I have noticed so far is on the wheels which were made in 2003 so the camper must have been manufactured after that.
