I have recently been modernising a Dandy, and wondered if any of the other owner might want to modernise thier's, so I have posted the photo's on my web site.

http://canalboatmen.co.uk/Dandy/DESIGNER.htm

If anyone needs any information on how to do this please do not hesitate to contact me.

Looking good Gerald. What did you cover the cupboard with?  I like the locker box, its a good idea - might come to you at some point for the measurements etc and get someone to make me one. How do you intend securing it on - will you fix it where the old style gas bottle clamps are?

Sorry for all the questions - but so many ideas from you that I want to do to mine!

I covered the cupboards with some fablon plastic washable self stick, I got this from Home Bargains at 80p per roll and used 6 rolls in all.

I will fix the locker with bolts through the original gas holder points with a large steel washer internally and nylock nut on the outside.

You can get the lazy tong rivet gun for about £16 (£8 & £8 Postage) on ebay.

These are better than the normal gun in that they have greater power and split the rivet in 1 go, rather than you having to press and release the normal gun handles about 2 or 3 times.
