Hi,
We have a trailer tent and like to use it as much as possible between April and September however I was wondering which months other people restrict themselves too. I'm imagining camping under canvas can be pretty cold from late september onwards but would love to get out more so let me know if it's worth braving the elements or if I should just stay safe.
Regards

We have a trailer tent - and braved the Easter in March this year, with all the snow, rain etc,, - We found the warmth wasn't a problem - we had EHU so took heaters- the main pain was the mud - but we had a good time.. I have been in Sept after the kids have gone back to school, find we sometimes get a bit of nice late sun.. honest...plus its usually cheaper.

With an electric heater, you'll be fine in a TT at any time of year here. To avoid the mud, we go on hardstanding - as we did when we had the trailer tent.

Have been in my Combi through to early December, started again in April, but I know of others who have gone in Feb & March.
Afraid I now prefer the comforts of a caravan when it's cold - have decided canvas is for summer only..

I would suggest April to Mid Sept if under canvas. Depends if you have a young family they may feel the cold more than you and could end up putting you off camping, which is a pity as it is such good fun and you meet lots of very nice people.
