The first weekend away in our pullman it was very windy.  Never creeked, felt very stable.  We did have storm straps on the awning though!

hi Conway crusader same as pennine pathfinder, some creaking may be found when walking inside and when getting in/out of bed, no more so than in a caravan. as for wind only strong wind, just make sure everything is fastened down, pros better to tow you don,t get blown by the wind as much, and easier to see over top when towing. cons storage not a lot of room for big items,
we love ours we have no room for caravan out side so ours goes into garage out of sight out of mind (from thieves )

We've only use our foldng camper once, the first night it poured down, and the next night it was very windy.  Ours flapped a bit but I think that was because the awning wasn't pegged out properly (we'd forgotten our pegs and had to buy some) and also no guy lines.  The main unit was solid though.  We have a Conway Countryman

Our conway cruiser creaks a little in the wind, but when it rains the noise of the rain on the canvas is quite loud but helps me sleep - It always seems to rain when we go away! Only annoying noise is caused by strong wind rattling the awnings front overhanging porch bit - only ever happens in strong gusty wind but is really irritating. Awning storm strap is a wise precaution!

Hi There,

I have just brought a Conway Cruiser and they are FANTASTIC. My partner wanted to buy a trailer tent and I was very dubious. They sounded good but thought they would not live up to it!!
I saw a Conway Cruiser for sale and went to view it and was pretty impressed with it, hard to believe that a little trailer and become a mini caravan when erected. Loads of room for storage and sleeping, 3 double beds and plenty of room in the awning to put a little tent in too!!!

When we first went out in it I was unsure of the weather as it was virtually a storm!! But I slept like a baby!!! There are a few noises from the wind etc but nothing to make you feel like you are going to either be blown away or that the tent will collapse!!! That was one of my worries!!!

All in all they are brilliant and I would recommend them to everyone. Easy to store and tow and tonns of room in them.

Can't comment on a folding camper, as we've just got one.  However, we did have a trailer tent and last year we were out in some very very windy weather, and had no problems with it creeking.
