Hi all,

We have just upgraded from a tent to a trailer tent (second hand Sunncamp 400).

We are very eager to get away for a weekend to get to know our way around it.

Can anyone help to explain if i am allowed to use a site that does not allow tents.

Is a trailer tent looked at as a tent or a caravan?

I dont want to look silly turning up at a site and being turned away for not having the right equipment.

Some sites do accept trailers and some don't. You would be best advised to ring and ask (or email) once you have choosen your site but before booking.

Watch out for some sites not taking advanced bookings for tents. Came across a few that won't let you pre-book, you have to turn up and see.  Not ideal if there isn't another site around.

we have booked to go away for the bank hol weekend to a site that is only 10 miles away from home.

Read the reveiws on here and all seems very good. Thought we should go local for a first trip so we can find out what we need.
