We have a conway challenger, it has mains electric. However the whale pump doesn't work. But not sure on the condition of the whale pump as it is fairly old. We got the camper 2nd hand last year and have used it a few times. Does the whale pump operate from mains or through a leisure battery? If i need a leisure battery I shall have to start saving up
I am no expert, only had our camper for two weeks but I had the same problem. I found a switch on top of the fuse box which I think is labelled as a 12v isolator switch. I flicked this and my pump worked. I have no battery either and haven't missed it so far.
I am sure someone with more experience will be along shortly.
I had the same problems with my Pennine Fiesta. The pump and 2 X12volt plugs only worked through the transformer when on EHU .I found no switches anywhere, so fitted a battery, and found that didn't work either .As I don't use EHU very much, I wired the battery to the 12 volt output from the transformer with a line fuse.. Bingo
