We have a decent size one in our kitchen, its not huge but we just stick it in the car when we go in cold weather. It was brill at Easter, we camped in Derbyshire, first proper snow our 2 had seen for years! The radiator dried out all wet hats/socks/gloves very quickly. We have a small one in the camper that we leave on overnight sometimes if needed.
we have camped in the snow in a pennine fiesta but i did take my leccy blanket. we were fine with a fan heater very cosy.we had icicles hanging off the canvas .give it a go ,if your beds warm when you get in it you will stay warm
When I was a little younger I camped all year round in my Pennine. The only problem that I ever encountered was that with excessive snow I bent an awning pole! I used to use 4 seasons sleeping bags with a duvet over me. I did take a fan heater though- it was always good fun. I hope you are not unlucky enough to encounter as much snow as I did- that really was a one off!

Some electric hookups are only 10 amp but even 16 amp will only run 3 kw heater TV and lights, and that is what is required for that sort of weather so if you have an oil filled radiator you can turn it off while you boil the kettle or the lady drys her hair and still get good heat all the time takes a while to get hot though but I would also take one of these Here as power cuts are not unknown on camping sites in winter.

We camped in February in Cumbria, it was minus 5 degrees, but with lots of hot water bottles and heating, we survived.
I would love to go away at Xmas, I just have to convince my hubby.
I would be a little concerned about strong winds though, we experienced gales last week in Edinburgh and had to take the awning down for our own safety.
