we have a mid 80s pullman when it rains the roof of the trailer gets a large pool of water collected on both sides - the camper poles have been put up tight ( so that the zips close) but this still doesnt help has anyone got over this problem ?????
Are you certain that the poles are extended to the correct length? I had a 1982 Pullman and it took me a while to realise that there is a "pip" inside the diagonal poles over the bed area and you need to pull the poles out until this clicks into place.
Try and put the centre one as high as it will possibly go and slacken off the next ones. We used guy lines on our bedroom corners to keep the canvas pulled tight. We had a similar problem with our older one so the problem is definately not unheard of! Try the guy lines! Good luck Jean
We had a similar problem on our previous unit, and putting the poles up to their full extent did not remove the problem. We tackled it by re-applying waterproofing at the beginning of each season, which stopped the roof leaking. We still had problems with damp creeping in around the edges of the beds in heavy rainfall, so that we had to air the bedding once the weather cleared. A few years ago we upgraded to a 2004 Pullman and we are delighted at how much more waterproof it is. The actual canvas seems to be treated with some kind of water repellent, whereas our old unit had just normal canvas that just soaked up the water.
