I have seen a folding camper at a very reasonable price but it has a small area of mildew, which only shows on the inside and obviously when the inner linings are up it is not visible.
It was treated when discovered, but i need some advice as to whether it will cause me future problems.
Our friends had a sterling with a massive amount of mildew on the inner side of the main roof. They scrubbed it and treated it with milton, although the brown stain remained it caused no trouble and was "out of sight out of mind" you would need to reproof the area as well. Personally if the price is right I would go for it.

It certainly looks very good inside. As they have treated the mildew it shouldn't be a problem. Would you take a chance & just see the auction through? Alternativlely, perhaps ask to view and then do a deal on the day.
I could take a chance and wait to see what it goes for, but to do this i wouldnt really want to be travelling to view and then to pick up at a later date, so would have to buy blind.
Other way is to view and like you said, try to sort a deal out there and then.
I have been trying to compare with the same models elsewhere and prices range from £400 unsold to £1000 sold so it seems to be very hit and miss.
I agree with araggedtiger, arrange to view and negotiate a price there and then if you like it. We bought a Cruiser last September and are really looking forward to using it for the first time at Easter. The benefits of a folding camper are, comfortable seating, fixed beds, and built in kitchen.
You can't really go wrong at that price if it is as good as it sounds. They sell for a lot more once the season is in full swing and you would always get your money back if you decide it's not for you.
------------- It's only my outside that is geting older - my inside is 17 !
im a bit weary now as ive had further contact with seller and the pullman doesnt have a fridge fitted as it has been replaced by a cupboard and also it doesnt have any electric sockets, but a rcd 4 plug extension.
just wondering as i thought they all had electrics.
Mmmm, just goes to show - you need to view it before making a decision. I wouldn't want it without the fridge or the electrics which I think should come as standard equipment in a Folding Camper?
It looks tidy inside, the awning and bedroom annex are included from the look of it. I think with the older ones quite a few people use the tent ehu. The price seems reasonable to me but I would never buy without viewing. If its too far to travel I would wait for one nearer home.
