Have just broken one of the main roof support poles in my pennine pathfinder, snaped it clean in half. Dont ask how first we knew of it was when the canvas fell on our heads. Question is where can i get a replacement? Have phoned and emailed pennine but as yet have had no luck so need your help.

Thanks nigel

I would think the only place you would get a replacement pole is from Pennine. I have found with them though, that they can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to responding to emails and answering the phone. You just need to persevere with them.

OMG....she says twice in quick succession. Nothing helpful to say though they are shaped aren't they ?? so I guess pennine is your best bet. I assume it was up at the time if the canvas fell on you so had you put the stretcher bars in ? was it windy ?  Hope you get it sorted soon. Our friends folded theirs with the stretcher bars still in and got a new set made by a local blacksmith. I learnt some new words that day.

Not sure if this would work or not, but could you get a slightly narrower pole and place the each end of the broken pole over it, thus bring it back together again, then 'bandage' over it with a strong tape or similar. It's just a thought, but hopefully Pennine will be able to help you out with a replacement.

Good luck with it.

Hi all.

Have been in contact with Pennine this week and they are making a new poll for us.They are trying there best to get it made and delivered by the mid of next week so we can still get down to the New Forrest for our easter break. No idea of cost yet but at least we get our camper back on the road and the who knows the wife might even start speaking to me again.

Im still not sure how it happened but we did experience 60 mph winds and very heavy rain, all this while i was trying to pack her away.

Thanks for all your help, support and suggestions.

Nigel

Hi if i was you i would find a local welder and get it welded and then you would  have a spare one, if you were a bit nearer to me i would have done it for a pint and it would have been as good as new ,well stronger !!! well good luck

                                          cheers Bruce
