Hi all,

Where do all you pathfinder owners store their awning poles & canvas during transit. Is it safe to leave them under the bench seat nearest the door or are they too heavy ?

We havent got a stabiliser so want to get it right..

I'm seriously thinking of getting a porch awning adapted by Lisa.

Cheers

We used to put the poles between the bench seat and the kitchen unit on the floor, and fold the awning in to a flatter shape, rather than round, to go under the wardrobe.

Now we have an estate car, so put the awning flat in the boot and put our single seat forward so that the poles go through the space designed for skis etc. We find that the extra weight in the back of the estate helps with the towing stability. Also if we only stop for a couple of nights en route somewhere and don't put the awning up, it can stay in the boot out of the way.
