Hi guys, This is the first year we will be camping with a 10 month old baby.
We bought a travel cot off of friends and we didn't realise how big it was until we opened it. I initially thought we could put the center table bed down and put the cot on there. 2 problems - 1 Where does mummy and daddy sit after 8:00pm bedtime? and 2 Surely it will drop cold when he's not in the end beds.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to sleep a baby in the end beds?
Hi,
I'm not very good at doing links but I found a thread where a couple of people used bed guards on the bed. Do a search for travel cots. Also, type in babies in the search and lots of threads come up. Both in the trailer tents. folding campers, folding caravans section
We have taken my son since he was 5 weeks weeks old, originally we used a samsonite pop-up cot until he could sit up and then I adapted the double bed bedroom liner so that he could sleep on the bed.
I sewed velcro onto the flap that zips down and tucks under the mattress and attaches to the opposite piece that I stapled to the bedboard. I also used a foldaway bed guard.
We have a 2 year old and have just used our new pathfinder for the first time.
for our little chap we made the chair bed up and divided one part of it with a bed guard (similar to this : http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-2304.aspx ) tucked under the cupboard side then made the bed up in there. He loved it much more than his bed at home, and he could very safely get in/out in the strange environment.
went to go outdoors in loughborough and saw a travel cot that was quite low with a zip top may be something to look at should fit in the end bedroom no problem and seemed very secure.
