Ann and I have decided to get another Dandy although we are still going to keep our Caravan. This is due to us loving our times out in our many Dandies which we have missed since having a caravan.
I must admit we are looking toward becoming shed pullers too. Though there is something amazing about turning up with a TARDIS at campsites and watching the shed pullers look on in astonishment as THAT massive space appears out of THAT trailer :)
Can I ask GC9987 what you miss about the the Dandy? Just wondering as I'm on the lookout for a folding camper or trailer tent myself and as soon as we can, we are going to take a trip to Camperlands and Riva. Can't decide between them all and I'm hoping that once we see them all and get the feel of all the different ones we can come to a decision
OH!!! Andi you are not considering going over to the DARK SIDE!!!
I'm still perfectly happy with Doodle Barbara! I tow him, I can store him at home, I can put him up at home! However, it has come to light (in a very roundabout way) that Rob isn't that keen!! First it was the "I'll go away for a week but not a weekend", then lots of huffing and puffing whenever I've mentioned taking Doodle out and now he's said he would prefer a caravan. To be honest I don't think he's that happy camping but goes because I want to, so some kind of compromise needs to be looked at.
Doesn't mean I'll actually swap though cause I refuse to tow a 'proper' caravan which means he'd have to, and we couldn't store a full size one at home so he'd have to sort that too.

Thats a shame Andi, my Oh isn't happier reading a book and listening to his music but he does enjoy camping, just so long as I organize everything, but then I am retired and have the time to do it.
I'm not sure about doing a weekend the min we have done is 4 nights, the trouble with a weekend I feel is you no sooner get there and then you have to come home.
I hope you find something that suits you both

I have a photographic memory....I just can't get the lens cap off

Well let me see, Imiss bewing closer to the elements without geting wet, also the Dandy can be folded wet without any damage occuring. And Dandies are quirky, and a certain type of person will own one, and you have to be willing to talk about your Dandy as you will be asked quite often for people to have a look.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
