Hi I have a Rapido Export & I was wondering what would be the best way for me to store it over winter. I have no garage to store it in nor a hard standing surface & the cover on it has seen better days. I was thinking about leaving it up for the course of the winter when not in use Or buying some tarpaulin & covering it all up when it's folded up. If anyone has any hints or tips I'd be grateful as I'd rather leave it folded if possible.

I'm sure it will be fine properly covered with a good tarp tied down properly to seal the sides and also keep it mouse-proof, In addition I would gove all the hinges a good dose of WD40 or similar to prevent rusting by condensation. Placing some anti-damp reagant inside would also be a good thing. There have been similar posts regarding TT storage using tumble-dryer softener tissues to keep it smelling sweet.

My Recordmatic is up in the garden at the moment as there are some little jobs I need to do in it before storing in the garage, I have already treated the hinges.

I just used to use the cover provided with my exportmatic. I placed a couple of plastic footballs under it this held it up and the rain just rolled off.

Thanks for that much appreciated I'm going to order a new cover for it soon so that should help. Although I'll probably put some tarp over the top as well especially over the aluminium box on the front as that don't exactly keep the rain out & I don't want to rot the ply base etc.

My garage is dry, but it without heating. Winters in Lithuania are a bit colder than in UK. So, is sub-zero temperature does not undermine my Rapido ?

I also leave open tubs of salt in my van to soak up the moisture in the cold air, has worked very well so far in each van I've had.

I use cat litter in plastic tubs to soak moisture. Folding camper never smells musty
