This seems perfect. Do they still make them? how much can you pick one up for ? are there other makes etc etc. Any info greatly appreciated. thankx  blueted.

Lots of makes of folding caravans about La Boheme, Esterel, Fleurette, Casita, Rapido etc. Have a look on eBay and in the search type folding caravan.

Hi  thanks for your reply. I have been doing just that, was just hoping for some inside information about folding caravans. you know the sort of things , such as are they prone to leaks, anything usual that drops off, generally what to look for . Am totally new to this you see. Bought a tent this year, do like it but dont think i can do much more than a weekend break in one .  ;)   xx blueted

We're relatively new to the folding caravan thing, we only bought 'Ethelbert' in July this year. He's about 30 years old but fantastic! We've done a bit of updating but the body and fitments were sound - I think that's what you have to look for, if you have a decent chassis, walls, roof and cupboards it's easy to change curtains, flooring and seat covers etc. We're on our way to painting the outside now (1/3 done!) have a look here very new but some pics and bits on there.

Are there any differences between the Esterel and La Boheme? For some reasons it seems to me that this is the same thing and differ only in their coloring...

ok a search for boheme only brings up 3 posts on the entire forum. Any more info on these available? I'm looking to buy one which was advertised as a trailer tent although searching the net they only made folding campers/caravans. For the grand sum of £50 I figured so long as it tows ok its worth a go.

Received pics today and decided to stick with the frame tent as it offers more enclosed space. For anyone interested this is on gumtree in Ely for £50 and definately a bargain, just not for me.
