Hi, just been down to my local caravan & camping dealer and they had a sign up. NEW IN. PYRAMID TRAILER TENT £1995
So I went in to have a look, its more a tent in a trailer but the trailer is utilised as a frame for a bed, it had two other inner tents. Dont know much about the quality of Pyramid kit but for the money it looked ok, its new for 2010, anyone else seen one?
It's a USA concept/design made quite cheaply. It is a tent railer with an awning. It also wrongly states that it can be towed with a motorcycle. Perhaps a trike or combination bike & Sidecar but European and UK legislation states a solo trailer must be no more than 100cm wide.
------------- Mavericks don't get to lead the herd - not that they want to!
Have not examined the trailer tent referred to. But there is a hardware shop local to me who has set up a 'caravan department' exclusively stocked with Pyramid products. Overall Pyramid products looked cheap & flimsy to me.
Personally, I would stick to the well established trailer tent manufacturers and buy a good recent second hand one which surly will come in at around £2000.
Before you finally decide, I would suggest comparing Pyramid quality directly with Cabanon, Sunncamp, Combi-Camp, Camplet and Raclet products.
Hi Johnjory, Not all Pyramid products are "cheap and nasty".
I recently bought one of their Titan Trailers and it stands head and shoulders above anything slse on the UK market today.
It is stronger and better constructed than anything I have seen and it is also better proportioned. It is a tipper to boot and yet it was still over £150 cheaper on the nearest I have seen elsewhere. I am over the moon with this purchase and everyone else that has seen it have also commented on how robust it looks.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
