Hi i'm very excited we are picking our camplet up next weekend, we haven't had a trailer tent before but with the arrival of our little girl ( 9 mths now) we thought it would make good cheap holidays after the initial outlay of course!
can anyone recommend a good but reasonable hitchlock and wheel lock that will fi the camplet
thanks

We have brought a bull dog wheel lock (for alloy wheels) from go-outdoors about £60 ish, out hitch lock (stonghold box type) doesn't fit properly so probably have to get some thing else for that.------------- ~*MZZY*~

We don't have a hitch lock, we did buy a gold secure wheel lock that covered all the wheel nuts, but have found that it takes up valuable space in car and we have never actually used it so will be changing it for something more portable ------------- Taffy

Went to Camperlands and they recommended the SAS wheel clamp ,and being a careful shopper,I bought it there and then.Fits well and is simple. As for the hitch lock, they pointed out that even with it fitted, the hitch can be removed, or the camper towed with a chain.Hope this helps,Ian

Hi, picked up my Camplet two weeks ago and didnt realise how difficult it was to find a hitchlock. Camperlands didnt give me any assistance and I have bought 2 now and had to return them. It appears that the camplet design wont allow you to fit a hitchlock that is insurance covered.
Told to buy a SAS silver duo wheel clamp instead. Wish they had let me know all this sooner after buying it.

My new Camplet came with a little hitch lock which fits in the key slot on the hitch. I asked Camperlands about wheel clamps and they recommend the SAS type - their advice below:
"Any quality 13” wheel lock/clamp will work. We sell the SAS alloy wheel clamp which is insurance approved but costs just over £100.
Halfords etc will provide cheaper locks and will be adequate to prevent casual theft of the trailer."
------------- I'd rather be camping

Deborah,
Thanks for the tip, I'd rather be out there to and not worry about security!
