Think it's a good idea myself! We have also just got a trailer tent and are going to a local site on Saturday, just for the one night, to have a go at putting it up. We will both have to post back here on how we got on with it!
me and my mrs took our new sunncamp 400 tt for one night last week just to get to know how to put it up,ended up 6 very helpfull fellow campers aided us.learnt more putting it down on our own.enjoy,!!!!!!!!
Hehehe! I drove from Islay to Padstow to pick up my first TT just the other week. Stayed 3 nights whilst I got my head round how everything worked and then took it on its first towing outing back home to Cumbria!
Bit of a baptism of fire on the driving front and I was dead knackered, but well worth it.
Well we made it, and with plenty of time to spare for a leisurely rest and barbeque yesterday evening, and no need to start packing up until after lunch today. Back in time to cook tea!
It was well worth it and we now have a much better idea of what to expect for our next 'proper' outing (although we have loads of questions - hoping for some answers from the Conway owners forum). If we don't get them there will be back here to hassle you!
