I have just bought a combi camp trailer tent 1984 and found that when it rained a light patch became visible and it leaked in;so i bought a canvas proofer but the leek continued in that panel although it dried back perfect;can anyone please advise .

The most likely cause is some dirt or detergent contamination. You need to use a specialist tent canvas cleaner, with massive rinsing. Best to repeat and then rinse out thoroughly. When dry reproof, and then re-check.
