Hi Guys

Went to look at a Jamet Texas Super Luxe today just wanted to know if anyone on here knows what size the awning is on these. I was told it was a 3 metre but it looked smaller than this. Would this be big enough for 2 adults and 3 children. Also are they good tt's to own

No, the awning isn't 3 metes. I think it's 2.

It would be a bit of a squeeze in my opinion for 5, although I'm sure there are plenty who have used it as such!

For my money, you want 1 bedroom for you and other half (assuming other adult is other half) and then 1 bedroom each for each additional child unless they are used to sharing at home. So this means 2 under bed tents.

Also I reckon on minimum 1 metre of awning length per child!

That said, Jamet are a quality make. They are owned by Trigano, but are, to the best of my knowledge, not currently part of the Trigano/Raclet coalition (i.e. they make their own tents; Triganos are currently farmed out to Raclet).

You will do well with one, but I would suggest that unless it's a fabulous bargain you would be better off looking for a big older Conway, or a Raclet Parthenon/Acropolis, or a Trigano Chantilly or Oceane or something.

Possibly a Cabanon, although I personally don't rate them - too much tacky white formica for me - although you'll find plenty on here who swear by them.

Charlie

Thanks for the quick reply Racletcharlie it was in excellent condition also came with under bed tents and sun canopy thought it would be a good starter tent for us newbies.
