Hi
I've just sold my Diablo 900 after a good year's camping (despite the weather) and we're looking to buy a Trailer Tent for next year. My husband has a bad back and finds it difficult to camp for longer than a few nights, the beds look much more civilised in a Trailer Tent.
We have about £2,000 to spend, and as we are a family of five it needs to be a large, well designed tent.
I like the look of the Cabanon range, mostly because the only dealer nearby stocks these! I would also consider a Conway. There are a few too many French makes to plough through, but the Trigano do look fine, and I'd appreciate any opinions on this.
I have started looking on ebay but would prefer to inspect thoroughly before I buy, and I haven't seen any bargains yet!!
I was hoping to get a better deal now it's the end of the season, instead of waiting for Spring.
Being as we are spending a large amount of money, and want this to last quite a few years, can anyone recommend a company for Insurance? Comments/advice welcomed.
I have back problems, that bad they pensioned me off work, to be honest go the whole way and buy a caravan, I have no probs towing it, and as for pushing and pulling it, no problems the kids help, they are quite light.
For insurance you could try Hill-House-Hammond or CIS, they have provided some good quotes in the past. With regards trailer tent bargains I think most dealers are taking down their displays at this time of year so there may be a few good buys around. Try searching the internet by manufacturer (Trigano, Conway, Jamet etc.) to see witch dealers appear & who may still have some stock to clear.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
