We have a Pennine Pullman Folding Camper which I think is mid 80's early 90's we have used it 4 or 5 times now and its great. However, we are trying to locate an awning for this and dont know where to start!! Anyone have any ideas and cost etc. Because we are now going to use the camper on a regular basis think its worth investigating. Many thanks Lynne
Hi radulf. I too have a Pullman FC. Never seen an awning come up for sale. Luckily mine came with one. There is a lady called Lisa on here that makes smaller awnings, maybe she could make a normal large one too?
------------- Enjoy life whilst you can, it doesn't last for ever!!!!!!
We used a pop-up gazebo when we first got out Pathfinder, it took me 3 years to find an awning on e bay, but i did eventually and for the bargain price of £95.?????? I got ours from a guy who had an insurance claim due to vandalism. do look out for people scrapping pullmans as well?
Or get onto Lisa [ Steer something? she will be on soon, I am sure] she makes porch awning to fit !
Keep your eyes peeled on all of the sites; - preloved/ freecycle / e bay/ Pennine Owners Club/ Conwy Owners Club
There's been 4 Pullman awnings recently on ebay - they do come up surprisingly often and were a reasonable couple of hundred quid - the last one though went for £450 (1998 model)
TVS (Tent Valeting Services) in Bolton have some old Pennine awnings in stock but I don't think they will fit your model. I think they will make one for you but it won't be cheap (think £800+).
go buy a techlite 1 porch awning, sew a no 10 heavy duty zip to it and hey presto you have a lightweight easy to erect awning or buy my trailer with awning already attached(look on ebay),don't be fooled into spending over £300 on a "ready made" awning from people on here you can buy a new one for about £140 plus a zip for about £17.00,if you cant sew it on yourself a local company should be able to do it for about £15/20
I have an awning for sale I have never used.. I bought it with my Pullman 535 second hand .. the trailer is a 2006 and was only used 2-3 times and I believe the awning has never left the bag. I hate awnings and the poley things you stick together (if you are lucky) I mainly use my trailer for weekends and Im looking to find a porch awning. I see that Lisa does them so I will probably get one from her.
