Hi all.We were hoping to purchase a pennine pullman folding camper recently and were so excited. Unfortunately when we got there a lot of things had not been disclosed to us, i.e, holes in both mattresses, large filled in area to trailer and we ended up not buying. We wern't expecting something new or pristine, just clean and as described.Does anyone know of anyone who is selling a folding camper in good clean condition, or know where to look?( other than e-bay). We have a budget up to around £1,300 approx at a push. Age not an issue if in decent condition.
We have been looking at a conway folding camper. I am familiar with pennine, but can anyone tell me what conway are like?.
We have a 1997 Conway Countryman which is smaller than the Pullman. We're very happy with it, we have a cooker, grill, fridge, electrics etc. Having looked at Pennines & Conways I would say the only difference between the older models is that the Pennines seem to have a few more "finishing touches" For example the Pennine Feista of the same age as ours has seat back & curtains in front of the bedroom pods which our unit does not have.
Older Pennines and Conways were made by different companies, and the method of unfolding differs, on one the beds slide out,on the other ,they unfold .Cant remember which is which, have a look on the conway owners site for info. On your budget,a Conway folding camper will be a Conway, not a rebadged Pennine. This is not a bad thing! ps,just remembered, the beds slide out on the older conway cruisers and the like,it was called the conumatic system. Pennine have discontinued it now. Good luck finding one,a good old Conway will last many a year
