I have been using TT's for holidays for many years, now on our third Conway. I have to admit that since Conway have stopped using Cabanon canvas they have gone down hill a bit when it comes to the life of the canvas. My next one will be a Cabanon.
We have a Sunncamp 400se 2004 model. We have 3 children -2 boisterous boys who need lots of space and a little girl. We camped this year for the first time as a family, never having tried or really seen a trailer tent before we bought ours new. The first time we put it up was a bit stressfull but once up it was brilliant. There is so much space. There were many other trailer tents on the campsites(we went to two) and the Sunncamp did look very impressive(its the blue one). It rained and rained sometimes it poured then lashed and at best it was drizzle. Not one drop of rain came in which we had expected as canvas had not been weathered before we left. Only problem was eco friendly groundsheet which with huge amount of water in ground let worms up through it. We have now bought a new caravan as we really wanted to go away all year round and for only one or two nights at a time. The trailer tent took too long to set up. Dont write off the Sunncamp if you want a trailer tent,I cant fault it. I have not put on ebay yet, think I might wait till spring, neighbours think I am going onto camping sales!
