I have a Raclet Floreal TT and am about to start replacing some springless springs before the summer hols...except, I donn't know where to start. The tool suppplied with the springs looks good for inserting new ones, but I don't know how to go about removing the old ones. BFI may help but I am loathe to use BFI unless properly required.

My husband usually puts his foot on the spring and then pulls hard on the pole until the spring pops out,

I replaced all of the springs in my previous tt.

Whilst not 'elf&safety at all I just pulled them with brute force.. you do have to be really careful though cos they are really sharp

You dont pull them out,cut the spring and push the old clip in,that way,you will keep both eyes! It is a lot easier too.
