A Caranex fits on the end of your car/van and is made for a variety of makes and models.

We used one when we had the Landrover Discovery. We slept in the car and cooked and ate in the tent.

It was a good solid bit of kit but that was before the days of the lightweight tents and carbon fibre poles.

I should think that it only has appeal to a small market nowadays.

We used to see loads of these at Dog shows being used mainly as shelter and grooming rooms. Don't think many used them to sleep in. would have loved one for shows.

I was looking through my rally pics this evening and came across this one of a Caranex in use. Sorry it is a bit fuzzy.
