Hi :) have set up our trailer tent and set up all the awning and pegged it down but how should the skirt/valance go all around the awning? Should it be tucked up inwards or poking out in between the pegs?

It goes inwards. Try not to adjust the upright poles too much (I made the mistake of extending them to their longest) as this may lift the flaps too far off the ground. They are meant to fold inwards and lie flat so you can put a groundsheet on top of them and keep draughts out.
