New to FC's have purchased a second hand Pennine Sterling 2007, and am anxious as to how you should fold up when wet. Obviously I need to remove the inner liners, bedding etc.(as per the handbook), I have noticed that there are rubber liners under the mattresses,do these stay under the mattresses or should they be pulled over the mattresses? I have heard of the Pennine dry pack system, but nothing is mentioned in the instructions.
I am a bit paranoid of getting this wrong, and getting the mattresses and seating wet.
Any tips would be good, also if wet is leaving it set up open at a secure outdoor storage site OK to let it dry off?
Best Regards
The covers under the mattress go over the beds prior to folding, as do the ones under the seats. With regards to removing the bedding and inner liners, we just unclip from the poles and fold then all in. We only remove the beds once a season.
We had to do a wet pack up last time we used our FC, just made sure all the plastic cover were over all the seat/beds properly and had no problems. Opened it up about 4 hrs later so it could dry out so no mildew or mould problems either. I think the max you would want to leave it packed up wet would be a day or two. Selina
