We have just become the proud owners of a Fleurette Tamaris pop up caravan, in immaculate condition. Any tips from previous or current owners would be greatly appreciated. We have to equip her from the floor up, just like furnishing and equiping a new home, so exciting, quite daunting as we dont want to buy anything we may not need, all our previous camping stuff got disposed of when our camper van died.
So New Forest here we come next week for a whole five nights.
your in the right place. you will have to sit it out. i know theres a few on here with a pop up van so they should help you out.
if you already used to camping/caravanning then you should already know the basics.
best of luck

Did you by chance buy your Fleurette at Campers & Leisure
at Ringwood?
We have just traded our DL in with them & bought one from them with a slightly different layout. We had our previous one for 2 years after selling a folding camper.
We changed from the camper as we really hated it, the poptop was a revelation & we had a lot of enjoyable trips away in the time we had it.
Does yours have the door on the 'wrong' side & is the upholstery green?
I hope you won't think me too nosey but it would be lovely to know if it is the same one, if it is & you want any info, just let me know, I'll be delighted to help out.

Yes we did buy our Fleurette at Campers and Leisure at Ringwood, the upholstery is multi coloured blue/pink/beige, and the door is on nearside, which side is wrong side?. Also inside the cupboard on the immediate left are phone numbers and an address, it would be lovely to find the previous owners, to compliment them on the way the caravan has been looked after. Thank you for replying.
The upholstery in our 'new' one is the same as yours - blue/pink/beige. The door on the one we sold is on the offside, it is a continental spec, hence we called it the 'wrong' side!
Our new one is a UK spec, has the door on the nearside, a grill which our other one didn't & a battery in a dedicated battery box. I get a mite confused as I have been stocking the new one, everything is in reverse to our old one, I keep trying to open doors the opposite way!! The configuration of underseat lockers is different so I need to re-arrange what is carried underneath the seats
I really hope you enjoy your Fleurette as much as we have, we are really looking forward to trying out our new layout - the old van had a bench seat each side & a long table in the middle, this new one has a bench down one side that wraps around at the front of the van. the table fits at the side under a side window with a single seat opposite the wrap round seat. (If this makes sense)
I see you live in Surrey, we are in Ealing, West London, it's nice to see another 'Southerner' on the forum!! :o)
Perhaps we will meet up on a caravan site soon!

It sounds as tho your layout is the same as ours, we have not got a loo inside as I prefer to have food preparation space.but we have a double toilet tent, we have just come back from our first trip to the new forest the caravan was lovely and warm and comfy, I see you live in Ealing, well I used to live in Perivale in the road (Rydal Crescent) next to the Hoover Building. I was born at West Middlesex Hospital and lived in Perivale up to mid 1960, then moved to Harrow, eventually ending up in Surrey, nr Guildford.
We will be off again to the new forest for the last week in sept, looking forward to it, I was thinking of a name for our fleurette but cant make up my mind. Did you have a name for yours? (be nice). I would like to compare notes with you on what camping sites you have stayed on, at the moment we have stayed at Denny Wood, and about 4 years ago when we had our camper van we stayed a Setthorns, but we were not too impressed back then, but we love Denny Wood. Also we hope to use the caravan during the winter months, around the south/east/west of england, we have joined the CCC, so there are lots of sites to look into. Sorry to ramble on I will sign off now.
Good to hear from you again, glad you enjoyed your first trip away.
How about asking you the moderator for my email address & then I can let you know about the sites we've been to without having to natter on on the forum?
Will look forward to hearing from you.
