I have posted my complaints about this beautiful camper here on the forum in the last four or five weeks.
I have written to Pennine about my complaints concerning my 16month old camper and am pleased to report that they are prepared to do all necessary repaires free of charge. I have arrange to take the camper over to their works in Accrington later this month and leave it with them for a month or two to sort it out.
anyone thinking of buying this folding camper should be encouraged that Pennine take complaints seriously.
Hopefully the bulk of these campers are made a little better than mine, because in spite of my complaints with it I still think it's a good piece of kit.
What were the faults? as I'm wanting to buy one next year. Iasked the salesman at our local dealer and he said they dont have any serious issues really but then he would say that . Glad you are getting yours sorted though
Dropping mine back at Casey's to be sent back to Pennine to sort bad stitching on canopy and the fact the bedroom windows don't velcro back up. Also sorting the sink out after not draining properly, even though this was due to external pipework stopping it draining quick enough,it has become delaminated.
Also hoping they will sort out the low level LED's as one was right on the floor and right up against the sink cupboard making it very difficult to get the cover off, the other one was put on at floor level as well so one quick turn with my foot and off it snapped. Looks like they have put proper wired ones in on the new quartz.
No questions asked it was just "let us know when you have finished with it for the season and drop it back" - excellent service, even provided some tenacious tape FOC to stop the stitching getting any worse.
We had a problem shortly after buying ours - the metal lining to the front locker fell off allowing water in. Casey's replaced the whole door, no problem.
We too have the problem with the velcro above the windows and find the only way around it is to lower the poles and fasten it again before putting the poles back up. What are Pennine going to do to get round the problem?

Long story, but If you go to my profile you can read my posts. I don't know what the percentage of complaints to sales are with the camper, but there does seem to be plenty with the same problems as me. It's a nice piece of kit, but could be made stronger in my opinion.
I finished up selling mine! Pennine and the Dealer were very good but they are not made for serious hammer like the older ones. I had a 2009 Conway Crusader. Firstly they have got rid of the D rings on the front canopy of the main unit. In winds the elastic rubbed the acrylic and made holes as we couldnt peg it down! We had the same problems with the windows not closing. As for Isabella and their quality of stitching-horrendous! I could sew better myself. Loose cottons everywhere and it came undone resulting in Pennine sending it back to them. On some occassons due to bad stitching the thing leaked like a seive! Clearly they had used too big a needle resulting in holes...der! I loved the design and it was fantastic and cheap to tow. Occassional use they are fine. I think the original Pennines were far superior to the new ones oh and another thing which I was very dispappointed with the acrylic offers no real advantages as you still have to wet pack unless its a very very light shower! I also had problem with the Dometic Fridge. Again not Pennines fault and it was repaired immediately when I got back to the Uk under warranty. I may just have had one that was sewn together at 5 o clock on a friday night but I would certainly tell anyone who uses theirs a lot to buy a proper Pennine- all made by Pennine!
Although this will never affect us as I am sure as pensioners we could not afford one,but if we could at the price these new units are I would have hoped they would have seen us out.lol. I have to say I think that is just a sign of times now ANYTHING WILL DO!! as this seems to be the attitude now days, you would think that change of most kinds are made for the better, not now I am afraid the only that seems to get better is the profit margins of the companies and that is all that matters, Never mind the old girl we have just brought will give us just the same holidays I am sure. Good luck with the repairs to all and take care. Yvonne
