Hi there, new type of camping for me to start pestering people about !!
Have just purchased a Conway Cruiser FC (2nd hand).
I will not be able to garage the unit.I would appreciate any advice as to what is the best way to stop the canvas getting damp over the winter months please ??
It has the original PVC cover and I have also put a weaved tarpaulin on top. A friend says this will create a water trap for condensation but says putting blankets between them will do the job. 'er indoors thinks this will create black spot damp on the original cover.
Am i best 'biting the bullet' and buying a made to fit breathable covers ??
Any help is much appreciated.
You cant go far wrong by buying one. That is all I use on mine but I do put something between them so as to lift the breathable top up so that the water can run off and it also lets the air circulate between the two covers. And you can set the jockey wheel on a slant to help with the runoff of water . There will be others along shortly to give more advise.I am not a real expert on the matter just trying to help. And if you buy a cover make sure that it is the right one for the age and model of your unit.Cheers.Alex
