Are these prone to damage/rust or generally not running properly?

I presume these will be the same as mine on the Cardinal.  I had a problem with my previous Cardinal as one of the sliders had buckled slightly.  My OH straightened it out and the bed slid in and out perfectly.  Not had any rust on ours though.  You could try wiping it with cloth sprayed with a silicone spray.  We do this periodically to keep them running smoothly.

How old is your Crusader? Are the walls OK? Any damp soft spots? This could distort runners and cause rust.

haven't got a crusader yet, but looking at 2004/5 so will keep an eye out for damp spots etc.
