Hi everyone, we have booked for this years N.F.O.L at newark and would just like to ask, has anyone ever been to this event and what is it like, we have been told by a friend that it is a good weekend many thanks in advance.

We went to the one held at Blenheim Palace two years ago and had a really great time. The lighting up parade was fantastic. As soon as I can confirm the holiday from work I'll be booking to go as well!

I have never been to the event myself but I know many people that have. Their comments were identical that it's a fantastic event if you've never been but after you have been a few times it's nothing new and becomes a bit boring. So if I was you I would go and enjoy it and then you can decide for yourself if you want to attend again in the future.

We went to the NFOL at Blenheim Palace (only 8 miles from home) in 2009 and in Scotland last year (last weekend of holiday at Edinburgh) and thoroughly enjoyed both. Obviously the only way to find out if you'll enjoy yourselves is to attend one.

You could always invest in a toilet tent and basic loo - it's worth the effort!

that's right Argos do a changing tent ( page 188 of the new catalogue )for £24.99,similar size to a toilet tent, we use that and managed to get hold of a thetford porta potty off car boot for £10 which was a bargain.
