We are looking for our 1st FC. We have seen the Pennine / Conway models, which look nice, but they are pretty expensive. Camperlands are doing Trigano Randger 575TC's for £8,500 new, which makes them about £3K cheaper then the Conway equivalent. I'm really struggling to see how the Conway could be that much better. I get the feeling that Trigano are no longer producing the Randger, so these are the end of line, is that likely to be a problem? I get the felling from trawling this forum that the Conways are better, but Trigano's are still OK, is that a fair assessment?

Any thoughts or advice would be gratefully received.

Have you considered the Dandy Destiny, which like the Trigano is now not produced any more. It is PVC so can be folded away wet and won't rot. I would have got one except too small for us.

We had a trigano and it was fine.  The pennine/conway campers had more frills, but the trigano had bigger beds and more importantly for us was narrower so would fit in our garage.

We've just bought a Raclet Tamaris which is the same as Randger 575.  We like the 'en-suite' option with the WC cubicle.  It's easy to set up and quality is good with less spec, i.e. no oven or heating but as OH says about summer plans, "I we need heating I'm on the next plane home!".  They still feature on Trigano European Site so am surprised about them finishing but then they may be wanting to concentrate on the pop-top range of caravans.   Ask Camperlands!

I believe the Pennine/Conways are considered to be of better quality which may mean they have a slightly better laminate cupboards or a plumper cushions (maybe thicker mattresses- that could be a dealbreaker) but overall I think they are pretty much the same.

Resale value is a lot less with the Trigano's. Conway's and Pennine's hold their value well so if you are planning on upgrading regularly these might work out more economical.

You could get a 2007/8 Pennine Pathfinder for the same price or less than a new Trigano and if it was me and I had that kind of budget, I think that's what I would go for.

Actually no that's not true - if I had that kind of money I would get a 2002/3 model for £3 or £4000 (in my opinion, the best they made) and spend the rest on petrol to go camping every weekend.

we have just bought the randger from camperlands, they say the reason they are selling them cheap is because they have been used for display and photograph shoots by trigano and therefore they have to be sold as used.
