the fan heaters are great for that instant burst of heat but have not found one that is quiet enough to leave on over night,and as said by lobey would not be happy to leave by itself.as to oil filled rad don't find these give out enough heat for the good lady,so in the end have gone for a convector heater with built in fan so good burst of heat or silent with the fan of,but a bit large not a problem for the fc maybe for others so you pays your money and you makes your choice.
