I have one like that. OK Lava rocks take time to heat but you can still cook, heat after gas off. I also put plate of glass underneath which makes a great hotplate/plate heater. However, if you put top completely on the gas goes off so I place it diagonally leaving corner gaps.------------- Mavericks don't get to lead the herd - not that they want to!
