any of you knowledgeble people with a pathfinder with skirts could help me.my pathfinder is a 2003 model,I have been looking for skirts for a while,and in the end went to tent valeting services,giving them the year and colour,they came last week,and i tried to fit them today,the colour is a lot darker than mine,and I cant fit the front king size one,as my cabin has no zip to fasten it to.
Are there different styles of fitment on the unit?Or have they been made wrongly?how should it fit,if not by zipping?any help would be good,as they cost a lot of money,and i cant afford to buy things that are not right,thanks,Adrian
We have a 2004 pathfinder with only the rear bed skirt. I was told you cant have a bed skirt for the front bed for this year, I beleive it is only the newer models that have 2 skirts.
just been told by pennine that they fitted front zips to 2005 on,but also heard back from tvs,who have said they can put a zip on my unit,but have to remove the canvas and send it to them,they could have told me this when i was ordering,but i wouldn't have ordered them if told this(maybe thats why they didn't).They said they will not refund me either,as there was nothing wrong with their work,but i told them the year,and they knew about the zip problem,so i feel i have been mis sold the skirts,as it will now cost me an extra £25 + posting,and all the hassle of having to take the canvas off and put back on.plus the lost time from not being able to use,unless i wait till winter to do it.
Maybe they thought that the previous owner, may have had the extra zip fitted. Or you were just buying replacement skirts. You can buy the zips from awning repairers and tent manufacturers fairly cheaply. then get them fitted locally. its not rocket science. just make sure that you have put unit up and marked where the zip should go on the cabin canvas, before you remove it from the base. There are 3 screws on each bed board, and ties on the cabin poles, its very easy. but is a two person job. I have just found 2 bed skirts on e bay for £80. last month after looking for 2 years. Then giving up and making my own. ha!
