hi guys. my son has just bought a 1987 pennine pulman and having looked at it ,it seems in very good condition , canvas and awning like new, the problem is there does not seem to be any electric hook up fitted or leasure battery fixings.

would i be right in saying that these did not come standard with such an old fc and the only electrics were from the car, although there is a gas/12 volt duel fridge fitted

any ideas please guys and anyone who has a manual could i have a copy. many thanks

buy an electric hook up lead ,three plugs is best and just run into camper .there should be 12 volt wires under the right hand cupboard next to the fridge ..does it have the little white plastic plugs with the v shaped slots if so there will be two wires somewhere for the 12 volt ,as a afterthought have a look under the body on offside for a blue mains hookup plug ???just in case ..i.e are there any mains plugs fitted .look in daylight and if needs be i'll send you my phone number and talk you through finding things

The 12 volt sockets may look something like this

or as stated above the slots may be more slanted rather than straight if you understand what I mean.

hi guys thanks for the quick response my son has been out and bought an extention lead with 3 sockets and a fuse box attached 40 quid aldi . he feels safer rather than trying to work uot what seems like a botched up electrics job. regarding the 12v there are two wires coming from the fridge but no socket as such but as you say i will have to explore underneath , i just dont know how the 12v system works so he will have to wait till i have time but many thanks all the same
