We have just bought a new Sunncamp 550se trailer tent, went away last weekend for first trip, had problems setting up due to instruction booklet being totally useless. Didn't have any trouble with the Cabin section it was when it came to the awning the fun started, do the poles with the rubber feet sit side by side or overlapping each other as i said the instructions were useless a video would be a god send.

any one got any suggestions please

Hi i got one , first time 4hr to put up, i can do it in 1.5hr now on my own and thats even pegging out. Yes the poles do cross on the ground sheet. Best way to erect roll out ground sheet ( can leave zipped on after wards) zip on awning to tt section, find large pole with spikes on end and thread it through by front doors( outside in canopy area) then get front guy straps pull out tight, this lifts the whole awning off ground and peg out. You now have space inside to make up zip in rest of the poles short ones for kitchin extensions with blue pole with wierd hooks on to fit onto short ones. hope this helps a bit?

HI,
we also have a sunncamp 550, and had similar problems with the instructions! We now erect with 'richiewakes' method and find it a lot easier. One thing we have found though - do straighten out the ground sheet again and peg in once all the poles are in but before you extend them.

Happy camping!

Hi Kirstin, do you have trouble finding a pitch large enough even what they call large we have to pitch diagonal to fit on , and there is no room for car
