I,m sure this has been on the forum before , but has anyone had a motor mover fitted to a pennine pathfinder? , what make? how much? and did it work ? :)
I have one fitted to my conway crusader, the mover had to be fitted to the rear of the wheel, rather than the front of the wheel.mine works very well,it is a powerwheel make and can move my unit without any problems. price wise you need to shop about.
We had a Powrtouch fitted to our Pathfinder - can't remember where it was though (a Powrtouch fitter fitted it, and we sold it some years ago). It worked great - we stored the unit in the garage and there was about 4 inches clearance each side it get it through the door. Without the mover, we had to be very brave and take a 'run up' have the momentum to get the unit up the little slope to the door and over the lip of the garage door frame (scary with that little clearance!). The mover shifted the unit up the slope and over the lip easily, under complete control, and we could watch one side each to make sure it cleared the door-frame. It was worth every penny of the cost. It also meant I could get it out or put it away myself if necessary.
We have a Reich mover on ours and it is the best addition we ever made to the unit. Goes up our driveway a treat and can get on to any shaped pitch anywhere (even when we have had to use a ramp to level up)
We are just back from a week in the Galloway Hills where just getting the FC onto a level bit of pitch, would have been a nightmare without our motor mover.
Also slotting it back into my workshop this evening was a doddle. Especially after the long drive home that left us both with splitting headaches and not a lot of oomph.
Once you have had a unit with a motor mover, you will never go back to pushing and shoving.
we recently had a enduro 2 mover fitted to ours,£680 fitted,including spacers,which you need on pathfinder to drop it a bit.still getting used to it,but it is a godsend,as i have a back problem and couldn't push it up the slope in our garden.had to buy a 110ah battery to compensate for extra drainage.
got ours from NVS AUTOS,who advertise on ebay,and web,they come to your house at time that suits you(day anyway),takes about 2 hours.they fit for towsure,and most firms that sell movers.was going to get a towsure one,but they advised to go for better one.ring them on 01332 200 101.very helpful people
We had a Truma fitted to our last unit, a small caravan and it was a quick mover compered to the Enduro.
However it did have to go in for repair twice in the first year we had it. First the rollers that make contact with the road wheels broke off their spindles. Secondly one of the motors gave up the ghost.
The Service Engineer said that these motors could lie about on shelves for anything up to two years between being manufactured and actually fitted to a unit. So although you are buying this years model, the main parts could be two years old already.
So if you are considering buying a motor mover, buy one that is popular and don't just go for the cheapest or the one that happens to be on offer at the time. You could end up, as we did during our first season, with your FC away being repaired more often than on a site.

Just a quick one, I am looking at either a winch or motor mover to make this our first full season of FCIng easier and more fun for the whole family. We have a slopping drive and I do manage to push the camper home but with a little help from the wife too😁.
She had done he back unfortunately and I don't want to have to involve her with this in the spring so was looking at a winch. I am slightly put off the winch re time and possible lassooing. i am now thinking we have a new FC why not just go the whole hog and get a motor mover.
I contacted Nvs as in you post above and have a price back fitted with extra spacers as they seem to be familiar with the pathfinder.
question, how do you rate the enduro 2 was it man enough and worth the money parted with in the long run.
We will probably have this FC over 5 years or possibly more before we would look at any change. Many thanks
