I've just booked a special offer at Haven Greenacres in Porthmadog, North Wales at £21 for 3 nights at the end of september. Bargain!

I booked a hardstanding with awning. Just wondering if anyone has stayed on a haven hardstanding or at this site? Am I going to need monster pegs or just my normal rock pegs?

Anyway there are loads of bargains for this month and next month on the Haven website if anyone is looking for a cheap family break.

We stayed here in May...but in a static (before we got our folding camper)...as far as Haven sites go, it's nice, clean and well looked after...right on the beach, the facilities are okay (pool a bit cramped at times), the on site pub is ok and the food is good.  Great play area for the kids and a mini golf course...and of course the slot machines..

When we went, the touring area looked a bit cramped, but it was the half term week - don't know about the hardstanding though.

But at £21 for 3 nights, not much you can complain about really.

the reviews do say the pitches are badly drained though... wellies at the ready!

Also booked a bargain break at Haven Greenacres for  the end of September with our trailer tent.  Its been confirmed that all the pitches are concrete hard standing, so no chance of pegging down the trailer tent cabin! 

Lets hope for good weather, otherwise a lovely part of Wales.

Well if you're there around the weekend of the 23rd come and say hello!

I've packed extra guys in the hope of stretching some to the grass surrounding the pitch to keep the main tent a bit more secure, otherwise I'll pitch the tent where the awning goes and leave the awning off. Wait and see what the weather is like!
