I'm curious, do other people insure there trailer tents. Being previous caravan owners we had always had specific van insurance, but for some reason never did it with the trailer tent.
We find oursleves with a damage issue occured on holiday (posted separately) and are checking travel insurance etc to see if we are covered in any way.
I can't be 100% sure but when I was looking at umpteen insurance policies for TT and FC earlier this year I am pretty sure that damage from mildew was one of the exclusions.
Never bothered to insure before, had aged conway - but now we have a lovely combi camp I did splash out on insurance. Hopefully it won't be needed but we'd all be devastated if it did and we couldn't replace it, as we are hoping it will last us until the boys have left home, and beyond!
Whereas mildew/mould is normally excluded, I think you might have a claim from your recovery service as the damage happened while it was in their possession. Worth a try . . .
