I struggled to get my Sunncamp 400SE TT awning up for the first time, after acquiring it over the last bank-holiday(it took 2.5 hours overall). It made me question whether I'd done the right thing, buying it in the first place!!!
The original stickers which denoted the pole numbers(many of which had become unstuck) and the standard diagram were poor at best.
One of the kind contributors on here(thanks Allen) previously made a colour coded diagram.
I hope that my improvisation of this, where I've seperated the first and final sections up into separate diagrams will be as useful to others as I hope it is to me, during next season.
Since I'm using somebody else's diagram as a base, I thought it only fair to share the benefits with the wider audience of Sunncamp 400SE TT owners.
And now, the first section, including the kitchen. Noting that the mistake I made when I first attempted to erect the awning was not to attach the awning over the poles before attempting to start on the final section.
I understand your diagram because you have shown the one Allen sent, but if I hadn`t yours would indicate that the purple section attaches to the blue.
Also pole 25 is missing from yours., which I believe is the clothes rail that connects to poles 8 and 17 to the left of the kitchen as you look at it.
Here's a 2nd shot at the final section with the main cabin frame omitted. On the pole 25 point I could figure out how to represent it with my limited PC skills and keep it easy to read.
1. set up the cabin and fully peg it out.
2. zip the awning to the cabin and throw it over the cabin.
3. erect all the green frame poles.
4. pull the awning canvas over the green frame poles and then throw the remaining canvas back over the green frame poles leaving the lip of the canvas hanging over the end of the green frame poles before connecting the purple frame poles.
5. erect the purple frame poles and pull the canvas over so the whole awning frame is covered.
6. put in the 3 little end poles and tension poles 11 on the purple frame poles.
7. erect the orange kitchen frame poles and hold in place why someone secures the guy ropes to the 2 spikes that pop through the roof..
8. peg the front of awning then fully peg the awning.
You only need pole 14 when erecting. You can remove it if you don`t want the door set as a porch entrance. You should have a pole left over after fully erecting, which has a nylon "U" clip on one end. That pole fits in the middle of the green section in the middle of pole 8, (hole in roof lining shows where it goes),for if it gets too windy.
Thank you everyone for these post a few years back, I am attempting to put our up tomorrow or Monday and these guides should help me a lot and avoid arguments!!

Once you have the awning frame up is a good time to colour code the poles, which will make easy for when you next put it up as you will know witch pole connects to witch pole.
Gawd LOL What have I let meself in for? It all looks very complicated to me but I'm almost sure I will manage to sort it after reading these diagrams a few times.
Hi, I have just bought a Sunncamp 400se with awning and tried putting it up at the weekend. With 3 adults we struggled to make head or tail of the black and white diagram that came with it! We managed but after approximatel 3 hours!!!! After some internet searching I cam accross Allens diagram and Griffs ammended diagrams! Wow!!! All I can say is thank you for taking the time and effort to put these together! I have printed and laminated them along with Griffs step by step instructions! I'm certain these will make pitching the awning a whole lot easier when we take our TT away for the first time in a couple of weeks! Thanks again.
